I made my wife cry the other day. She asked me one too many times if we had captured Saddam Bin Laddum yet.
"You're a voter for Gods sake, with American boys dieing in the streets of Baghdad every day how can still not know the players?"
It's a spill over from the red-blue schism, and I think that in the privacy of the voting booth she put her mark next to Bush, "He's a straight up guy" I had heard her remark one time.
I'm having a lot of spill over issues like that these days.
I have a grown "special" child who loves to ask me why we are fighting the war; I think that he delights in seeing me rage about something besides him. Last time he asked I said "it's just because there is so much ignorance in the world". That's what it is for me now; ignorance and evil have become one and the same. I don't think the worlds problems are malevolence as much as ignorance and the really discouraging thing is that most people are ignorant, they don't read much and have an entirely egocentric point of view.
