Internet journalists and others spoke at the YearlyKos Convention titled, "YearlyKos: Uniting the Netroots." An afternoon panel focused on progressive web logs and issues surrounding "blog" coverage of a CIA leak investigation involving the disclosure of Ambassador Wilson's wife, Valerie Plame Wilson, as a covert operative with the Central Intelligence Agency. After their presentations the panelists responded to audience members' questions.

DeMint, Jim U.S. Senator, R, South Carolina
Senator Byron Dorgan (D-ND) and Senator Jim DeMint (R-SC) were interviewed. Both serve on the Senate Commerce Committee, which voted out proposed telecommunications legislation by 15-7. One of the key amendments was network neutrality. This amendment was tied 11-11, and according to Senate rules, does not pass out of committee. Each Senator explained his view of the issue and his vote.
