What good is their rhetoric and hypocrisy regarding the, "culture of life," when they take the spiritual and psychological lives of others away?
I cannot believe Bernard Law was allowed to lead the Pope's funeral mass after being the center of a priest pedophile scandal. What a slap in the face to all of the victims. It seems when it comes to looking the other way for their own criminals, the Catholic Church hierarchy is no different than any other organization or government. Sickening. Catholics should be outraged. What does this then say about what the Pope really believed? And how much is Opus Dei involved in this?
And while people around this world starve, are victimized, tortured, and live in squalor, the hierarchy enjoys all of the luxuries and eccentricities of a lifestyle Jesus Christ did not condone. I'm sorry, but some may think they are "infallable" (which is really impossible if you are human), but to me they are just men in funny hats and very expensive silk robes making money from the poor in ornate palaces, and using Jesus Christ to do it. They are not the spiritual center of this world to me either. Christ, the man who lived in humility is, and he would not sanction pedophile priests being absolved of crimes against children, and those who covered up their crimes.
And please, no remarks about how my opinions are turning Catholics away from Democrats. This was not written with the intent of politicizing it, but seeing it from a moral standpoint, which some priests and those in the hierarchy of a church that does nothing but preach about morals to others, can't seem to find for themselves.
