After being found guilty of illegally funneling $45,400 to the Bush re-election fund for the 2004 Presidential race poor little Tommy Noe said the Bush campaign pressured him.
More after flip:
It's all over the newspapers today all over Ohio that Mr. Tom Noe...very well known for loosing valuable coins bought with workmans compensation funds made available by George Voinavich and Robert Taft because they couldn't stand knowning that there was a fund building up in Ohio and not making their cronies money...it was the ultimate pay to play scheme gone shitty.
Here's a blurb from the Columbus Dispatch
Saying Thomas W. Noe was guilty of "ego-feeding and a stupid act," a federal judge yesterday sentenced the prominent Republican donor to two years and three months in federal prison for illegally funneling $45,400 to President Bush's re-election campaign.
That was less prison time than prosecutors sought but more than the probation requested by Noe, who also was fined $136,200 and ordered to perform 200 hours of community service upon release.
U.S. District Judge David A. Katz allowed Noe to remain free until the conclusion of his state trial, set to begin Oct. 10 in Toledo on separate charges related to his handling of a $50 million coin investment for the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation.
Poor asshole even thought the judge would go easy if he used this excuse...
Noe said in court he accepts responsibility for his crime but contended the Bush campaign pressured him in 2003 to attain "Pioneer" status by raising at least $100,000..........
But a rebuttle from Bushco liar's said that he lied, they lied, someone lied...it didn't happen
Aaron McLear, spokesman for the Republican National Committee, rebutted Noe's claim.
Oh well...what can I say...
These GOP friends of Bush/Cheney are...in the words of John Kerry...a bunch of crooks!
