While taking pains to compliment her ("the most diligent of public servants") the editors at the grey lady appear disposed to weigh in negatively on Rice's performance yesterday.
What is more interesting, however, is how Rice's testimony seems to have offered them the opportunity to take a decisively more negative position vis Bush and Iraq:
"The real challenge came after the Afghan invasion, when Mr. Bush had to decide what to do next -- rethink the outdated world view his advisers had brought into office, or snap back into old reflexes and go after Iraq, the enemy of the last generation. It was then that he chose the wrong path."
