Alright, people, this has been a long time coming. The top comments team has done, I think, a good job keeping the series going each and every night. Well, tonight we seem to have had a wee miscommunication, and at about 10:00 we realized we had no TC diarist. So I've done a little mining in a hurry and, happily, the top comments email account had a pretty big day (something you can participate in by emailing nominations to
topcomments at gmail dot com), and things can also be a little open-threadish.
So I've had about 28 minutes at this writing to find and format some comments and think of something extremely profound to say. And I gotta say, some of the formatting isn't there, and I can't think of anything profound. I'm tired, I'm sore, I'm getting freaking old and my second horseback riding lesson after 2 years of not being on a horse has left me a touch creaky.
But I look at this as a test of our little community. We had a miscommunication - one of precious few so far, especially when you consider this is loosely coordinated between a bunch of volunteers with busy lives. BeninSC noticed it in a more-or-less timely fashion, I hadn't diaried today so I figured why not throw it up, there were a good number of nominations in the email account, and BeninSC came through with top comments by mojo. Not bad for about 35 minutes notice, eh?
So kick back, play, have a good time, read what I'm sure are some great comments, and hopefully tomorrow things will be back to prepared profundity.
