Is there any way to put a limit on the number of diaries one can spew?
In my list of 50, right now one person has 5. The problem is that the same subject comes up over and over and over and over and over.
So many of the repeat diaries are solely for the purpose of attack. How many ways can one find to dump on another? It's amazing how much ill will there is, and how this ill will plays out in the threads of these diaries. I suspect the negativity is ignored by most. But sometimes I just shake my head at how immature and idiotic many of the diaries and posts are. (This does not even get to positive diaries that draw swarms of attackers, etc.) If I was a candidate, I would feel ashamed to discover what some of my supporters have to say.
Sorry if any of you take this as preaching. I don't mind spirited debate. In fact, I look for it. I think criticism can be healthy and spur constructive argument. But there's such a thing as overkill, too. I seem to keep running into the same old crap, wrapped in slightly different paper, and it's smelling worse all the time.
If I had the power, I would limit diaries to two per day, maybe three. The way it is now, it's taking away from the quality of the blog.
Any suggestions or comments are quite welcome. There has to be a better way than to allow unlimited diaries by some who have nothing new or useful to say.
