A gentleman named Mike Dixon sent in an idea to
Buzzflash that I think merits some consideration.
His idea is, well, I'll let him tell you himself:
If the media won't pick up the Gannon story, there's a simple way to get around this. Google terms like "defense of marriage act," "family values," Bush being chosen by God, and any right wing religious activist group you can think of. If you can find an address, mail them 3 things:
* The Red State Alert on GOP Blind Eye to Male Prostitution
* The photo of the Washington Times story on male prostitutes in the first Bush White House
* The photos of Gannon selling himself on the internet
You might even try getting onto some of the blogs for these groups.
Granted, it might be a shock to the system of some of these religious activists, but it seems they need something to snap them out of their ignorant bliss.
It is, at least, proactive, and a way to reach people the media won't inform. If you have other information you think they should read, include it as well or instead.
It seems such a simple solution but could be quite effective. If nothing else, it might at least get this generally uninformed group asking questions.
