It's weird to listen to Air America while looking at grisly pictures of bodies being dragged through the streets in Iraq. The Bush administration is crumbling before our eyes. They're paralysed. They have no way to turn. As the New York Times is reporting:
"The steadily deteriorating security situation in the Falluja area, west of Baghdad, has become so dangerous that no American soldiers or Iraqi security staff responded to the attack against the contractors."
They're afraid to respond! What can Bush do? Bomb Falluja? We're supposed to be there to "liberate" them. It's an absolutely impossible situation.
I hope when Michael Moore comes on Air America in the upcoming hour, he cuts through all the sophomoric chuckling and talks about what's happening. This is a serious moment.
