So, in a lapse of judgment which I can't even begin to fathom, I have been asked by the
YearlyKos organizers to put together and moderate a panel dealing with issues in voting rights, campaign finance and election law.
Gina asked me to put together a tentative description of the panel, and here's what I wrote: "Between the influence of Big Money and questions about election fraud, many believe that voting results do not reflect people's true preferences. This panel will discuss the intersection between the Internet and elections, and the ways in which technology and new legislation might help make the democratic process more democratic."
I already have two panelists on board, both of whom have been very involved in issues pertinent to our community, working with the internet grassroots, but I'm very interested in your ideas for other people you'd like to hear from, or topics you want to ensure will be discussed.
So let me know, folks. Aim high, and we'll see what we can do.
