Greetings all.
Today's diary is a public service announcement for all you Democrats who live in Maryland and happen to be under the age of 40.
Now that the election is over and you are planning to enjoy the inaugural of Governor Martin O'Malley, you may be saying to yourself, "Self, what can I do to stay involved in Maryland politics...and get our party ready for 2008?"
I have the solution for you below.
CONVENTION & ELECTION
The Young Democrats of Maryland (YDM) invite you to their 2007 Convention on Saturday, January 20, 2007 at the Miller Senate Building (Miller Building, 11 Bladen St., Annapolis , MD 21401) in Annapolis, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Our convention will include remarks from elected Young Democrats and young at heart Democrats, valuable tips on how to grow your chapter, and opportunities to network. Food will be served. Best of all, there will be no registration fee to attend.
Please bring a valid ID so that the Election Committee can verify that you meet the YDM membership requirements.
You can RSVP at aayd@aayd.us. Just include your name, etc., and what county you live in. I'll pass it along to the appropriate folks.
See? It's that simple. Just join us in Annapolis a couple of Saturdays from now. You get the free food, the networking with like minded Young Dems, and the sense you can make a difference in the direction of the Democratic Party.
Not enough of an enticement? Well, if you come, you'll get to meet me.
:)
That should be enough for anybody. Heh.
