I think we're all looking for a good reason to avoid tonight's State of The Union address by The Great Leader. With so many options out there, to include: eating many chicken wings, smoking, drinking, excercise, chasing the other sex, running from the other sex, reading the personal ads, inventing lies to use in personal ads (see Bush), or just hanging out watching TV. Most of us will probably pick the TV option.
Two years ago, right before the SOTU address, and still pretty down after the 2004 elections, I submitted a diary of the Worst Cable TV Networks. Mainly did that as an excuse to avoid watching Bush deliver the SOTU, as he was in full gloat back then.
But, as Elias said in 'Platoon', 'the worm has turned' since then. Now, well, at least we're running Congress. And Bush is on the run. But, like an escaped crook, he can still be considered 'armed and dangerous'.
Below is my very subjective list of the Top 21 Cable Shows. No criteria was involved, other than my rather subjective tastes (and a lingering dislike of The History and Food Networks).
One admission, I only picked 'Room Service' because, and I can't figure why, I think the host is cute, and has a distinct Canadian accent.
