Yesterday, I stirred up some emotions when I was critical of those who would target Ellen Tauscher and ignore Tom Lantos. I advocated a policy that provided equal treatment of all national entities in the Middle East, even-handed, fair. In that post, I mentioned the Center for the National Interest, founded by Paul Findley and Pete McCloskey. My position is clearly in line with what they advocate.
I became increasingly interested in McCloskey because of the critical role he played in defeating Richard Pombo. His campaign in the primary and continued support of Jerry McNerney gave cover for those Republicans who could no longer stomach Pombo. But, there is more to this story.
If you want to see what kind of a policy that Lantos and his associates will subscribe to, I would ask you to view the video of former Massad agent Victor Ostrovsky as he talks about McCloskey. They could teach Rove a few lessons.
Of course, there is no reason to question Lantos, is there? You can't label him a "repug". Maybe there should be equal treatment for all, Lieberman and Lantos seem similar in more than their initials.
My major point in this second post, in case anyone missed it, is that the selection of Tom Lantos for this specific Committee Chairmanship sends a message to the entire Middle East that the United States in not interested in change, is not interested in doing anything other than continuing to blindly support Israel no matter if they do something right or wrong.
People criticize "Dummyyuh" for being loyal to the point of stupidity. It seems that Pelosi has a similar trait. Continuing such blindness as to the unintended consequences of her actions could well lead to her ultimate downfall.
