Recently, someone posted a film clip of Mitt Romney's debate with Ted Kennedy, challenging hime for his Senate seat. Romney lost, of course, but decided to remain in the Bay State and pursue a less glamourous job, that of Govnernor of the Commonwealth. Romney painted himself as a pro-choice, pro gay rights moderate Repubublican, in the same veign as the former and very popular GOP governor, Bill 'Pink Floyd' Weld. After winning the office, Beacon Hill would be transformed into Romney's permanent campaign platform, from which he would go from moderate Chancellor Palpatine Romney, to far right Darth Romney!
In the next few years, the citizens would witness this carpet-bagging opportunist reverse his views of abortion and stem cell research, as well as an attack on the gay and lesbian community that had many waking up wondering if they'd somehow been transported to Kansas, for the amount of hatred and vitriol now being cast upon, in no small part because of their recently hard-earned and well deserved marriage victory. Marshalling the forces of bigotry that hadn't been seen in Boston since the days of court ordered busing, Mitt teamed up with local churches and the Boston Archdiocese (who would be willing to sacrifice anyone to draw attention away from their own recent pedophile scandals)to create and environment that many in the gay, lesbian and progressive community never imagined they would see in their lifetimes in the Commonwealth of Massachussetts.
Romney travelled the country, campaigning early for his true quest--the presidency of the United States--as the unfortunate, lone conservative governor trying his best to take back Massachussetts from the godless liberals and queers that had taken it away from its good, wholesome Christian roots and those good old fashioned Salem values! While pretending to NOT raise taxes, fees on everything else in the state went up; education was cut; teachers, police, firemen and corrections officers were hung out to dry; malfeasance on the Big Dig Project continued, so much in fact, that when there was an accident that actually claimed the life of a woman in one of the Big Dig Tunnels, Mitt sprang to action, with a hard-hat and a promise to get to the bottom of it. But when questions regarding his administration's own oversight of the project began to get raised, Romney jumped off that podium quick and got back on the anti-gay marriage bandwagon, which was always a safe bet, considering how many bigots the Commonwealth is actually home to!
Intersting note:
"Massachusetts State Police searched the offices of Aggregate Industries, the largest concrete supplier for the underground portions of the project, in June 2005. They seized evidence of faked records that hid the poor quality of concrete delivered for the highway project. In May 2006, 6 executives of the company, including its general manager, were arrested and charged with crimes related to fraud. Immediately after the arrests, Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney announced he would return $3,900 in political contributions from employees of Aggregate Industries.[9]"

Well, now as questions about Romney's very liberal past arise, the Romney camp is in full swing to tamp down any suggestion that their candidate is not a flip-flopper and never was really a liberal, despite the fact that he and his Lt. Governor were campaining at Boston's gay pride parade, handing out well wishes to participants--many of the same participants he would essentially tell years later during the marriage debate that they were second class citizens and not entitled to the same rights and benefits as other citizens of the Commonwealth! This, coming from a liar who once boasted that he would be more liberal on gay issues than even Ted Kennedy!
What I thought especially telling in all this, is that shortly after the appearance of this telling exchange on Youtube:

There are now over 7 pages of Romney related videos on Youtube, mostly consisting of glowing praise and adoration piled upon this liar and opportunist. Most of them, appearing well after the Kennedy debate video surfaced, which has gotten national press, including the Boston Globe. Yes, Multiple Mitt's staff isn't happy about that video, but they sure hope if they can throw enough of their own up there, people will forget about the most important one. I sincerely hope they don't.
