Now that the meta wars have calmed down (for the time being) I thought I’d toss out the above question to see how most kossaks use this site.
Are you a lurker?
Do you have an account but only to rate other diaries & comments?
Do you post the occasional comment?
Or do you venture out in to the great unknown and post a diary now & then?
Make the jump...
I’ve been a member of this community of caring progressives for going on 3 years and – like many – just lurked for a while until I could figure out what this site was all about.
I quickly moved on to rating other comments & diaries, and eventually started posting a diary of my own now & then. There were a few mis-steps along the way – but I think I’ve finally got the hang of things like fair use, and making sure credit’s given where it’s due.
So now I feel like a full-fledged Kossak (though some have told me I’m not a true progressive because of who I like so far in the field of Dems for 2008). I post diaries about the genocide in Darfur, women’s rights, choice, issues of concern to families with kids at home... even the environment and politics. Depends on what’s in my email or on the news sites I read each morning.
I thought it’d be fun to see how others use this site. Some folks turn up to find out what others are talking about / get the news. Others leave comments and a few post diaries – some post several a week like me.
So vote in the poll and then tell us what sort of diaries you’re drawn to. Or whether you just read the front page.
If you leave comments – what kind of diaries / discussions do you participate in?
And if you post diaries, how often?
Do you have any special area of interest? Or do you post about different things?
