The Libby verdicts, on his deceit and treachery, may open up vistas for the Dems and America; now that Bush/Cheney are further discredited, they have lost political capital. So on Iraq, Iran, health care, the prosecutor scandal, etc., we may be able to move forward.
BUT if our victory makes us overconfident or arrogant, that would be bad too. So, as Merlin says in John Boorman's "Excalibur", savor this victory, remember it--humbly--, for it is the doom of men that they forget.
Then again, what did Merlin know. We're not gonna forget this day. Be proud that God is on your side today! Libby's loss is your victory--raise the flag high, like the guy in the upper left-hand corner!!
