Those of us who are faculty or students can now read Paul Krugman and the others that are behind the NYT Select....for free.
My Apologies for violating the diary guidelines.
I thought this might be worth posting as a diary.
If you are going to sign up for this, then please recommend this diary.
That way, if enough members of dKos are taking advantage of this offer, then the diary will get the visibility it deserves. If there aren't many members who can take advantage, then the diary will disappear (as it should).
Sign up for free NTY Select access here.
You have to enter a valid academic email address. After you have done this, an URL to the free subscription page is sent to that email.
If you have already joined the free section of the NYT with that email, there will be a bit of a complication. When you try to enter your details into the new account, it will be rejected with a message stating that an account for that email already exists.
Not to worry. If that happens, login to the NYT as you normally would and then click again on the link that they sent you for the free NYT Select sign -up. You should get a new activation page that just asks about details concerning your academic institution.
Cheers!
