Are you musical? Do you find yourself tapping along to songs you hear? Critiquing them? Figuring out ways to improve the intro, the bridge, the verse, the chorus? Do you play an instrument? Do you wish you played an instrument? Do you have a joke or a story about yourself, your instrument, or someone else's?
This is the place to share those stories. Everyone who marched in a high school band can remember the people who couldn't play the right notes, play in the right key, march in step, or even get on the right bus. Everyone who played in a rock band can tell stories about bandmates who didn't show up, fell off the stage, played solos in the wrong place, for the wrong song, because they took the wrong drugs. Everyone who played in an orchestra can tell stories about conductor's whose score probably consisted of "Wave your hands until the music stops, then turn around and bow." Not to mention 100 viola jokes.
I'll play the A-440, you turn the page and bring your gear.
Stories about music and making it are welcome. I got the idea for this community diary from a couple of comments last night. The usual suspects were showing up in Troll Alley, but instead of recipes we were posting music jokes. Well, I love music jokes, and I want to see if there's any I haven't heard.
So, this is the place to share them. Or true stories, or musical urban legends, what have you. If you have the key and know when to come in, you can join The Music Room.
