With so much happening and of course, being missed in the Corporate Media, I thought I would share what I've learned here.
The First issue is important, because it requires help from us.
Senate GOP Says No to Al Gore-Global Warming Concert at Capitol
by John Bresnahan
You probably didn’t notice it (since readers of The Crypt have actual
lives), but late Friday afternoon, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) tried to get Senate Republicans to allow former Vice President Al Gore to stage a global warming concert on Capitol grounds. But Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) objected to Reid’s request, and the resolution authorizing the concert, for now, remains stuck in the Rules and Administration Committee.

Yes, if you can also call your Republican Senators and ask them to support
the Bill and ask their party Leader, Mitch McConnell-R(KY) to, as well and bring it to the floor for a vote. Let's hope, this is not
just another example how the Republicans can't seem to do anything
bipartisan or non partisan, no matter the issue, even if it is to benefit
All Americans. What message to not have the Capitol want to acknowledge
such a serious problem and event. I guess they'd rather be second again
to California.
Thank goodness even Tennessee can be nonpartisan-for the most part, when
another subject that went under the radar of the Corporate Media didn't
get reported. Last Thursday VP Gore was honored in his home state of
Tennessee, an overwhelming "House by a vote of 82 to 2. Ten Republicans
petulant flat-earthers abstained. The Senate passed the measure by a vote
of 30 to 0."
..."The resolution honors "a Tennessean of the greatest stature, whose
tenacious quest to warn the world about global warming and to effect
change culminated in the documentary 'An Inconvenient Truth.' "
The State of Tennessee honors Al Gore for "helping to shift U.S. public
opinion on the need for urgent action to curb man-made emissions of
greenhouse gases linked to global warming.""
ALSO:
Yesterday, Al Gore was advised he is receiving the International Emmy
Founders Award.
"In a release Monday, the group said Gore was receiving the honor for
launching Current TV, the cable/satellite channel, and for calling
attention to global warming. Gore will pick up the honor Nov. 19 in New
York.
What is this group? Why it's an organization of broadcasters from 70
countries.
Why Gore? The group's president, Bruce Paisner, said in a release: "The
academy presents the Founders Award to an individual or organization which
crosses cultural boundaries to touch our common humanity -- how perfect a
definition for Al Gore."

So, please remember to call your Republican Senators to ask they-for once,
practice their bipartisanship they preach to hold the United States Save
Our Selves Concert to help fight Global Warming, in our Nations Capitol on
the Capitol grounds........THAT WILL NOT COST THE GOVERNMENT OR DC A THING.

Thank you.
