David Iglesias, fired (read honest) New Mexico federal prosecutor, was the subject of a truly vicious attack ad on Albuquerque right wing talk station, KKOB-AM, this morning in drivetime. Funded by New Mexicans for Honest Courts(!?) and placed by a firm that works for Republican candidates, it sounds professionally produced. I wonder if this is purely local venom or part of a national strategy?
You've got to hear this one! I only heard about the last 10 seconds of a longer ad and I'm trying to find out when it will air again. Local right wing talker KKOB-AM aired a truly vicious attack ad against fired New Mexico federal prosecutor David Iglesias this morning in drivetime. All the stuff typical of a last minute campaign flyer, false and twisted claims, etc. It has the air of desperation. This is the prosecutor who was a military lawyer portrayed in A Few Good Men
The attribution at the beginning is to "New Mexicans For Honest Courts" and the actual ad buy was from an agency that purchases for Republican candidates. This all according to a staffer at the station, who seemed a little embarrassed by the ad. I found a link to their website and ad here and there are some PAC reports at our secretary of state's office
Interesting to know if this is being done against all the prosecutors fired, all who testified, or just Iglesias. It sounds professionally produced. I'll email with more if I find out more.
Anyone in California know if Carol Lam is also being vilified & lambasted? Terrible pun apology goes here.
