I don't know how many of my fellow Kossaks are watching this tonight, but if you are and want to join me for some commentary about this year's dinner, turn on C-SPAN1 and let's see if this year's dinner turns out to be as memorable as some of the years past.
Like this lovely reaction by Bush to Stephen Colbert:
More on the flip:
Or to this moment I'm sure most of us would rather forget of MC Rove at The Radio and Television Correspondents Association dinner:
It's milk toast Richard Little tonight but you never know what might happen.
The hubby abandoned me to go turkey hunting this weekend, so if you're sitting around watching this thing like I am come join me and we'll let anyone who didn't catch if find out what they missed. I'm recording it also, so if we get any memorable moments I'll throw them up on those internet tubes before it's over. If there's anything in particular that anyone here thinks is worthy of being shared be sure to let me know.
Update:
I uploaded the Letterman comments to You Tube and will post them here as soon as the video is available, but that could be a matter of minutes or hours. You just never know how the traffic is on that site and how long it will take. It's about the only part of the whole thing worth watching IMO. Little was horrid. Crickets....lol. The guy had the whole room asleep. Also as to some comments here tonight, I do agree that what The Daily Show and The Colbert Report make out of this thing might be the best thing to come of it yet. Thanks for sharing the pain with me to endure this thing since it was even more horrid and boring than I thought it would be, and I'll be back with that Letterman Top Ten video posted here when it's finished uploading for at least one chance to laugh at this whole fiasco.
Update 2:
Well, what do you know, the video uploaded quicker than I thought it would but it looks like the quality isn't as good as I'd hoped it would be. Anyway, enjoy:
