This is a really simple diary that took lots of hard work to put together: you write some hard-hitting, candid questions for Senator Joe Biden (one per comment). I pick the best ones (determined by mojo, eloquence, toughness, and how much time I get), and I’ll have the Senator on camera when I ask him your questions at Rep. Jim Clyburn’s Fish Fry in South Carolina on Friday. The questions and answers will air unedited on YouTube in a diary that will run on Saturday.
Again, this is your chance to ask a presidential candidate whatever you want and get the answer vlogged back to you on Friday. Furthermore, this could be the precursor to a live Q&A visit from the Senator. Backstory below the fold ...
Anyone on the blogosphere who knows me knows that I support Joe Biden for President, and that I’ve seen him be absolutely inspiring. If you’ve seen him on TV speaking about Iraq or Sudan, there’s a good chance you've been inspired too. As my good friend Blue South (an Edwards supporter) noted in a recent diary, Biden is the lone presidential candidate he could find who is ready to use force to stop the Darfur genocide.
Let me say that again: Biden is perhaps the only presidential candidate ready to do the right thing to stop genocide. That’s really big to me ... that’s the kind of leadership America needs to become a global participant instead of a global prosecutor. For this, and many other reasons, I think Joe Biden would make a great president.
Not everybody on the blogs agrees with me, and I know that’s an understatement. You have questions and concerns: the bankruptcy bill; the IWR vote; Anita Hill; and if you watched "Boston Legal" last night, you may be thinking about the Obama gaffe again. So after having dinner together in a Huddle House in South Carolina I am prepared to ask him a few questions after tomorrow’s debate. If there’s interest in these diaries, Senator Biden might come down to dKos for some live Q&A. So ask about Grassley's Bankruptcy Bill, or ask about what the Senator would do for Darfur. But before you dismiss him, before you call him D-MBNA, give him a chance to answer your questions.
Ready! Aim! Fire!
