Norway has decided to resume aid to Palestine, according to Reuters news service.
This seems to me to be in accord with the Norwegian culture, which I observed while travelling from Oslo to the West Coast of Norway by hitchhiking.
Wonderful people, very knowledgeable about international relations, and quite resistant to bullying by world opinion.
I hope this is the beginning of a realization by the world community that supporting the people of Palestine during this war between maniacs is not the same as taking a side in the conflict between rogue ideologues.
I find this Norwegian aid to be along the lines of Medecin san Frontieres, to just help the people who are suffering, and turning their head from the endless theoretical and theological discussion that are destroying the peace of the world.
I appreciate Jimmy Carter's views, Dennis Kucinich's views, and Mike Gravel's views, and Dwight Eisenhower's views, that the world's politics are firnly in the grasp of the military industrial anti-terrorist groups, which is driving ever more war, because there is much money to be made by fomenting strife amongst people, however it can be done: religion, race, ethnicity.
Hurray for Norway! Hurray for peace!
