Is this another positive sign for you Cheney? ABC reported on February 21, 2007 that Britain will cut its forces in Iraq to 5,500 by summer, down from 7,100 currently. And additional cuts to as few as 5,000 British troops in Iraq are possible by the end of summer. While their troops numbers decrease by 1600, Shrub insist on pushing a worthless cause while blaming everyone but the reflection in the mirror. Shrub's father at least had it right when US troops represented 74% of the coalition’s 660000 troops in Iraq in 1991. We have the same number as when we started and it is not enough according to the generals in the field. General Eric Shinseki, Army Chief of Staff, recommended "several hundred thousand" troops be used to maintain post-war order
We are now at a critical point today with Shrub's veto. Time to stop calling it the War on Terror, this is the Two Trillion Dollar War and should be referred to as such repeatly. Congress needs to live up to their word and actually send a tougher bill that he will eventually have sign. Skralyx has Eaton's veto rebuttal
From King George to Dictator George, we have come a long way but really haven't too. England seems to get it this time where we are still looking for a clue. The Republicans had their chance and shafted this nation, time to turn the table and force their bluff. Contact your Congressmen and Congresswomen and Senators, we will settle for nothing less than the War Spending bill our elected representatives have given us so far. Reiterate we won't stand idle while being blackmailed nor yeild an inch to this the GOP's demands of complete submission.
