Bush has really done it now. You know that 30% of the country that seems to approve of Bush no matter what? The "last third" that "is usually backwash", according to Stephen Colbert? The 30% who would approve of Bush if he set fire to a kitten on live TV?
He lost them.
The immigration proposal will put the put the last nail in the coffin of what remains of the Bush Presidency. His approval rating should soon be in the 20s-if not lower?
How do I know? I waded into the Right-blogosphere. Grab the popcorn and have a look below the fold.

When Border Patrol agents started getting jailed for doing their job . . .
When the National Guard has to flee their posts when intruders approach from across the Mexican border because their orders don’t allow them to fight back . . .
When private citizens with squirrel rifles have to volunteer to protect the border because the government won’t do it . . .
When the President and many in Congress bald-face lie to the American people about pending legislation . . .
then it’s time to impeach the President. His job is to defend the United States of America. He’s not doing his job.

What’s sad is that once Bush’s amnesty is done, it wouldn’t surprise me if something like this would be next.
Is it too much to ask of the dems for them to do us all a favor and move forward with impeachment?? I can’t imagine Cheney selling out his country to Mexico. I think he would be a far better president at the moment!

Bush said this plan solves the problem without animosity and without amnesty.
To bad Bush and the other "elite leaders" are too insulated to feel the animosity, bordering on hatred, for them because of their traitorous actions.

Why is Bush so in love with illegal immigrants? Did they work for him or something in the past? He doesn't know it yet, but he is taking a nosedirive right into a disastorous outcome.
It pains me, but I can no longer support this President, because obviously cares nothing about what the majority of his party and Amercians are telling him.

John McCain is, quite simply, the 21st century GOP equivalent of Jimmy Carter.
As for GWB, he is dead to me. Impeach him for all I care.
I am sickened beyond belief.

Fuck these lying sacks of shit in DC. And especially fuck Bush - the man has lost it.

I started reading this bill before it was posted here and having just finished the entire thing, I can confidently say that this bill is absolute garbage.
I am done with GWB.
Finished.
Forever.
This is designed to create a permanent labor underclass in this country and if you have any job skills that are done, or can be done, by illegals, you, and your children, will be part of that underclass as well.
Like Mexico, we will kiss our middle-class goodbye.
To me, this issue is more important than Islamic terrorism and will radically harm this country and her populace more than UBL ever could conceive of doing.
Go ahead moonbats, impeach Bush.
I wont help you (yet) but I will stand to the side and keep my mouth shut as you go about it.

We all know what is going on here. Bush is caving in to Kennedy and McCain so he will be remembered. The fact that he will be remembered as a moron means nothing to him. He just wants to be in the history books because his "housekeeper" said it was right. I will now leave the GOP. That will be serious around my small town.
