That'll be the quote we'll hear.
It'll be some American soldier, about his entire unit, caught on audiotape, played over and over on CNN.
Like 35 men and women, found slaughtered on the ground in Iraq.
It would come some weeks after... in a manner no one can explain to me... Democrats "defund" the war and President Bush is given the task of pulling out the troops.
Only he won't pull the troops out... at least not the way we all envision... because he is a man determined to win, politically, at all costs.
So, he'd leave the troops there, without the money they need and wait for disaster in the form of civil war overwhelming under funded, tired and confused troops and then...
"Oh, God, they're dead. They're all dead."
The war will start to end January 21st, 2009.
I'm sorry, but that's the truth, because there is no way to end a war with a President who refuses to end it.
Those are the cards on the table.
The polls say we Americans want the war ended and the polls say we Americans want it ended sooner or later, but the polls in Vietnam said all the same things, until the pictures from Nixon's "end" of the war were beamed onto television screens and then... whose fault was it?
It was the "weak liberals" fault.
And it's been the "weak liberals" fault ever since.
The only way to end the war is to elect a President who says the war must end.
That's it.
That's all.
No other way.
Because the President we will have until 2009 will not end it, even if told to.
He'd rather let it fall apart on our shoulders.
He's rather make the Democratic party and the Progressive movement the owners of...
"Oh, God, they're dead. They're all dead."
