So, finally, after much wrangling, the YearlyKos Convention organizers are publishing the YearlyKos 2006 photo essay book ("UnConventional"), in a hardcover print edition. Yes, a real book, as opposed to the eBook version that's been available so far.
UnConventional features professional photos of your favorite Kossacks ( including Orangeclouds115, Clammyc, Nyceve, McJoan, and Kos himself), and of your favorite politicians and progressive heros (including Wesley Clark, Barbara Boxer, and Howard Dean).
It also features essays from Kossacks and bloggers about how they became progressive people, and a killer introductory essay from Hunter that really should be published in the New Yorker.

Many of you are aware that last year we undertook a massive project to create a photo documentary of the first YearlyKos Convention in Las Vegas and we paired that with essays by many of the familiar voices you read online. That body of work has been on sale as an eBook since late last year.
We have now taken things one step further and we've decided to get the book printed so everyone can experience it in the format that it was meant to be presented in. We are offering the book at a special pre-sale price of $35 if you buy it before August 2, 2007. The book will be for sale at the convention for $40. We are also offering several shipping options ranging from pickup at the convention to FedEx.

All proceeds from the sale of this book will go to funding future YearlyKos conventions, so buy this gorgeous book today and secure the future of this (UnConventionally) important movement!
