Arno, our long haired Dutch Shepherd, just reached official adulthood, and he has two speeds: flop and all out. If I don't walk him on my days off chaos ensures. In the cool weather, he can go forever, but he isn't a fan of warm weather, so we get up early and do a few prescribed routes of about three miles. I get a little exercise and I can enjoy the sights and sounds of country living.
These pictures have no particular theme. I snapped what caught my eye and when you are walking the dog and snapping photos an inevitable randomness prevails. Arno, acted as my assistant, by graciously sitting when I paused.
Our walk begins down our quiet road...
You can't have walk in the country without saying hello to the horses. The white horse was doing some Jonathon Livingston Horse routine because he was in the same field as the other three. It is pretty "horsey" where I live, and the roads have fairly light traffic. When I drive home in the morning from work on Saturday, the locals are often riding right down the road.
I experience "pond envy", we have a water hole.
Oh, look "animal" condos, wonder who lives there...
It can be fascinating to actually watch the web get made, I just thought this was a neat example of nature being art with no additives needed.
Where is the rest of the fence?
Random interesting tree base...
Arno hit the water bowl once we got home and then went into "flop mode". The first time I saw him napping like this I thought something was wrong, he just likes display himself.
Thanks for taking a peek.
