I listened to Dennis Kucinich's speech at Taking Back America on c-span yesterday afternoon.
I have to say, I was impressed. Not because I think he's a great candidate, but because the general Utopian theme of his speech had so much in common with what I would consider to be an ideal world in which to live.
Of course, that is not reality and probably never will be.
However, it makes me wonder whether such a message or vision could gain any kind of traction if voters were really honest about what they wanted for themselves, their families, friends and anyone else that draws breath on this planet.
While I consider myself to be agnostic, that does not exclude me from sharing values with more religious (and more righteous) elements of the world population. Indeed, it continues to amaze me on a regular basis, that my agnostic life is guided by values that are regularly espoused by devotees of various religions but seldom followed by them.
Republican Party values / morals versus actions is a great example.
So, here is my question.
Does the vision expressed by Kucinich at TBA stand any chance in reality? Is it something you would support?
