They can't be serious!
Less than a week after Thomas Ravenel, the former chairman of Rudy Giuliani’s South Carolina campaign, was indicted on federal cocaine trafficking charges, the Associated Press is reporting that his father Arthur has signed-on to the ex-mayor’s campaign. Ravenel, 80, a former state senator and South Carolina congressman, will serve as Giuliani’s state co-chairman.
The elder Ravenel will head the campaign in the Lowcountry.
Giuliani makes it just too easy for us. As a matter of fact, I'm thinking about contributing just so we can continue in the Fall of 2008. Coke users, child molesters, coke users dads, Where does all the fun end. Thank you Rudy, you've brightened my otherwise dull day.

This guy is even worse than his son. He's a Confederate lover.
A week before the NAACP protest, the Sons of the Confederate Veterans, members of the Republican Party and several white supremacist organisations held the Southern Heritage Celebration 2000 on behalf of the flag. Six thousand people gathered to hear Rep resentative Harry Cato intone that the flag "is now, it always has been, and it always will be a symbol of freedom". Senator Arthur Ravenel called the NAACP the "National Association for Retarded People" and the Commander in Chief of the Sons of the Conf ederate Veterans told the crowd to "stand up to the NAACP". Ravenel later apologised to "the retarded folks of the world for equating them with the NAACP".

More remarks.
On October 18, 2006 The Post and Courier of Charleston, SC wrote " Arthur Ravenel Jr., who is running for an East Cooper seat on the board, caught flack 16 years ago when he was in Congress and made a comment about white committee chairmen who operated on 'black time,' which he said meant fashionably late."
