A North American Union; is it possible? This may be a controversial issue but it is an interesting subject to say the least. No rumble here, just a talk.
Last year I brought up the subject of "The North American Union" on Kos; the merging of Canada, Mexico and the United States. My diary created an erruption of outrage. I believe the outrage came from the fact that many conservative blogs write about the subject. I'd like to re-visit the issue again. It's an interesting subject and with the immigration bill on the table, I would like to know if anyone believes that there is any validity in it. Hopefully, this time level headed minds will prevail. After all it's only a discussion, nothing more.
Here's my opinion on the subject - I'm not sure whether the U.S. is working towards a "North American Union" or not; I'm leaning towards yes they are. I do see merging signs.
Some consider this a conservative subject and therefore they think that I am a conservative. I consider myself a liberal/centrist.
