Good News, Dick!
With todays emerging technologies, pacemaker patients can look forward to no longer replacing the bulky batteries that power these devices.
At the risk of perpetually going under the knife, Vice President Cheney should consider what researchers at University of Southampton have recently discovered.
A tiny generator powered by natural vibrations could soon be helping keep heart pacemakers working.
Power packed
The tiny device, which is less than one cubic centimeter in size, uses vibrations in the world around it to make magnets on a cantilever at the heart of the device wobble to generate power.
If all works out, doctors could have Dick up and vibrating as new in no time!
