I have tremendous respect for all you committed patriots and DailyKOs readers, so I seriously want your collective opinion on whether most of you agree with Nancy Pelosi that "impeachment is a distraction". I am aware that many polls conducted on this site are often tongue in cheek and/or pose rhetorical questions. I value the opinions of DKO readers because I know you are more informed, and more involved than many Americans. I am just a little surprised - if you don't mind my saying so - that some of you seem to think it isn't necessary to impeach.
Personally, I am convinced that there will be no peace, no election, nor any money for social programs, unless Bush and Cheney are impeached; I also believe that until we Americans begin to conscientiously hold every politician accountable from this day forward we will see the blessings of democracy come to an end. ("Eternal vigilance is the price of liberty") I am convinced, as well, that without impeachment, there WILL be another false flag event ala 911. Mass murderers don't stop till they're caught. I doubt that I am alone in thinking as I do, but I would like to know what you think with more certainty. Hence this poll.
Personally, I feel that anyone who truly believes that peace or the rule of law can be restored without impeachment has not stepped back to look at all the separate crimes of the Bush administration to see the whole picture rather than the separate puzzle parts. In my humble opinion, each piece of the puzzle fits into a monstrous, and premeditated plot - as interconnected as a spider web designed to steal our democracy along with our treasury. That's my opinion for what it's worth - but give me your answers, if you would. Perhaps I'm wrong; is it just coincidence, for instance, that Bush or his master, Cheney, packed this administration with so many Iran-Contra figures? Am I wrong to assume that this administration foresaw the possibility that congress might attempt to limit the funds with which to fight?
