First ad on the Daily Kos today is for the "Susie for President Campaign." I was shocked to see that Markos would let someone who is not only Constitutionally ineligible, but gives no evidence for Democratic Party affiliation, advertise on the site. Whatever happened to our "Democratic blog?"
I browsed deeper into Susie Flynn's campaign. Her focus on health care is admirable, but boiler-plate rhetoric won't change the situation. Less thrilling, however, was my discovery that this candidate had NO plan for getting our soldiers out of Iraq. No references to our drowning budget deficit, no position on abortion, and not a word about our foreign policy.
It gets worse. Apparently, this 9-year-old has never held elected office before. The Presidency is not an entry-level job! Ms. Flynn lacks the qualifications necessary to lead this country, and has a single-issue campaign, and that one issue, health care for children, targets a constituency that can't even vote. Wise up, Susie!
How about a single-issue campaign for raising Social Security benefits! The elderly love voting themselves cash, and boy, do they vote! Change your target constituency, Ms. Flynn, and maybe you'll have an outside chance.
Ms. Flynn may have charisma and energy, but has yet to prove substance and depth. I'm sticking with my main man Chris Dodd: substance and depth without charisma and energy.
