Yesterday came word that hypocritical, hooker-loving Sen. David Vitter was languishing in Ochsner Foundation Hospital in New Orleans, either on suicide watch or suffering from an amputated ding-dong.
Now, the muckraking watchdogs over at Citizens for Legitimate Government bring us a new scoop! Louisiana's GOP pooh-bahs are in negotiations with Gov. Blanco to replace Sen. Whore-hungry -- who reportedly craves being diapered by prostitutes -- with someone who won't further humiliate a Katrina-ravaged Louisiana. Flip for the latest poop....
CLG Exclusive: La. GOP officials negotiating with governor for Vitter replacement appointment By Lori R. Price 13 Jul 2007 Citizens for Legitimate Government (www.legitgov.org) has learned that Louisiana Democratic Party insiders say that Republican officials are attempting to negotiate with Governor Kathleen Blanco (D) for a possible replacement appointment for Senator David Vitter (R), should he suddenly resign. Citizens For Legitimate Government has also received information that Vitter is in the Ochsner Foundation Hospital in New Orleans.
My question is, now that it seems like Blanco has the GOP's feet to the fire thanks to Vitter, what is the nature of these "negotiations?" I assume the GOP is offering a Vitter resignation in return for influence upon Blanco's nomination for a successor.
Is it even desirable from the progressive perspective to replace Vitter, or is he better left on the national stage as a hooker-Pampered symbol of GOP hypocrisy?
Anyway, I bet a nod could go to Mary Landrieu's brother, the Lt. Governor, Mitch Landrieu, who is business-friendly and recently lost to Ray Nagin in the election for New Orleans' mayor. But, that would make two Landrieux in the Senate, which is probably two too many.
Any Louisiana Dkossers care to throw down? Should we be emailing Gov. Blanco with advice, suggestions, pleas for anybody in particular to replace Sen. Diaperman?
