Harry Reid has just noticed.
Hillary is moaning about it, everywhere she goes.
Every random Democratic Senator seems flumoxed
Indeed, ask any Democratic Senator why they have not been able to pass a serious attempt to stop the war, do something constructive on health care, or stop the destruction of the US Constitution, and watch them rush to a microphone in droves, to explain.
Each will claim, in their own charming way, that they are being blocked by the minority party. Each will exhibit a mild case of the vapors as they decry the unfairness of it all. Each will remind us that they won last November.
But, they pant, the Republicans just don't want to cooperate. The Republicans keep demanding a 60 vote majority to pass anything. (What "up or down vote"? - Keep Moving...)
Let's see now...
When the Democrats were in the minority, they painted the use of demanding a 60 vote majority to pass Republican legislation as so fraught with risk, so unpolitic, so bloody damned dangerous, as to be beyond the pale. They refused to block the worst of the Bush, and Republican legislative efforts because...well, I guess it just wasn't NICE.
They did not want to set a presedent.
Thay wanted to play fair...
See where that has gotten 'em?
Is anyone else as fed up as I am with the whining about the Republicans demanding a 60 vote majority? Is anyone else fed up with listening to these "representitives" moan and groan about how the Republicans just aren't fair?
What did they think was going to happen?
What the hell game do these Democratic Leaders think they are playing? And when are they going to notice that they are lossing on every bill that means anything to the Democratic base?
No links. No graphs, No pics. No video.
Just a very serious question.
When are we going to elect Democrats that know how to win against the Republican juggernaught?
