Obama has finally hits a nerve by saying what many people have been saying for years that Washington Experience which Clinton brags about is no experience. Period and Amen
"So often in Washington, experience means doing what we've been doing over and over and over again. Well, to me that's not experience if what you're doing isn't working," Obama told a crowd on a farm in Adel, a field of corn behind him.
"It's bad judgment and if you want to show good judgment, then you've got to be open to changing the way we do things in order to get different outcomes," he said.
In a flap that has shifted the Democratic 2008 presidential race to a more negative tone, Barack Obama on Friday said Hillary Clinton was showing bad judgment for refusing to consider a dramatic change in U.S. foreign policy.
Obama hits a nerve; Clinton recoils, backtrack, goes on defensive and calls on the Big Dawg for salvation. Now she will talk to World leaders. I guess her polling is not supporting her initial resolve. That is Washington Experience for you.
But at a campaign event in West Virginia, she stressed that her diplomacy would be more expansive than that of the Bush White House, saying "we will get back to working with other countries."
"I want to make it absolutely clear that I will be sending high-level presidential envoys, including my husband, all over the world, to send a message to not only leaders but countries, 'We are back and we want to be working to find common interests and common ground with all of you,"' she said.
I bet you will.
Clearly, this debate has turned into the Debate of the Heart and mind of the Democratic party. And that is whether we want a continuation of Bush’s stubbornness as advocated by Hillary or a desire for fundamental change according to Barack..
In a flap that has shifted the Democratic 2008 presidential race to a more negative tone, Hillary Clinton is pitting her experience against Barack Obama's desire for fundamental change.
Clinton thinks that meeting leaders who don’t like us shows inexperience. Typical Washington Experience, eh.
Clinton considers the first-term senator from Illinois naive for saying he would be willing to meet leaders of hostile nations like Iran and Cuba,
Obama the Agent of Change thinks otherwise:
while Obama thinks Clinton is sticking to the foreign policy status quo of the much-criticized Bush administration.
To make his case Obama fires a Bazooka:
The Obama camp, looking for an opening to use the feud to cut into Clinton's lead in the polls, put up an advertisement on news sites in the early U.S. voting states of Iowa and New Hampshire.
The ad criticizes the New York senator and former first lady for her initial vote in support of the Iraq war and asks the question, "Ready for a New Direction?"
"It's time to abandon the short-sighted, naive idea that we punish our enemies by not talking to them. It's time to let go of the thinking that got us into Iraq without a plan in the first place," the ad said.
Ouch.
Clinton fire back by citing Charles Krauthammer, a NeoCon and Faux News Personality.....this actually shows the level these people will go, but follow me.
The Clinton camp placed comments from her and Obama on her web site and provided a link to an opinion article written by conservative Charles Krauthammer that described "how the grizzled veteran showed up the clueless rookie."
After 8 years of these Bozos in the White House, this is a "change election" I don't think Hillary expected this.
The Obama camp believes the dispute demonstrated "a real choice" for Democratic voters and showed the Illinois senator represents "dramatic change" from conventional thinking. Democratic strategist Chris Lehane said both sides got out of it what they wanted.
While Hillary tried in vain to flaunt her Washington experience, Obama turned the table on her making the debate for the Nomination about the Old (Washington Experience) and the New (Fundamentally Changing the Bush Legacy). The mood of the Country is for Change; as such Obama wins this one hands down.
It also shows that when Barack goes toe to toe with Clinton, he wins. Remember, to know him is to love him. A claim Hillary cannot make.
