If you're at Yearly Kos next week and want to discuss these issues and more, you're invited to the Labor Caucus Aug. 2 at 2 p.m. The caucus is open to members and staff of any affiliated union and anyone interested in connecting workplace issues with the big picture progressive agenda.

Last year, we didn't have a Labor Caucus at Yearly Kos. The fact that we have one this year, and are involved in many workshops throughout the convention, (see here and here, for just a couple) is a sign of movement by all involved—a recognition by the netroots of the importance of issues such as the freedom to form unions and the role of unions in building a strong middle class—and the effort of unionists to reach out more broadly beyond
