The Associated Press has just reported that a top Army general, just after recommending Pat Tillman for a posthumous Silver Star, warned George W. Bush that the story on which the medal was based was false.
Bush's speech on Tillman's death was adjusted, after this warning, so as not to mention the heroism detailed in the citation. The proof is in a videotaped interview with the top General who issued the warning, Lt. Gen. Stanley McChrystal, who has been widely blamed for the cover-up and false stories, yet escaped punishment. Now we know why: Gen. McChrystal had the trump card. He had warned Bush from very early on that the story of Tillman's heroism in the face of enemy fire was false. You don't punish a man who has a trump card on the President of the United States.
The same day this smoking-gun proof appears of Bush's early knowledge of Tillman's friendly fire death and the coverup, Congress has compromised with Bush on illegal domestic spying, allowing the destruction of the Constitution Tillman volunteered to protect.

UPDATE: After some complaints about the headline, I have edited it to a milder, more Pat Leahy-like style. I've now given you two plus two; apparently it was too much for some people for me to conclude they add up to four. The original headline was "Bush Knew Tillman Story Was False." And a shout-out to all those folks at ykos while I'm at it.
