Earlier tonight this link came to my attention: http://www.democrats.com/
Scroll down the page a bit to find the post entitled 'Yearlykos bans impeachment'.
If this information is inaccurate, I will delete this diary immediately. So far I've posted a couple comments on this subject with no refutation, but I'm kind of hoping for one.
Because if the founder of this site really wants to 'Crash the Gates', why is a subject that has garnered so much attention here over the last few months not even being mentioned at a convention which has so much publicity?
I won't go into the details of why impeachment is necessary-we've debated this subject for months and most people here seem to be in favor of it judging by site polls.
So are we, now that we've gotten some attention, going to back down so as not to upset the attendees, or are we going to ask the tough questions?
Are we going to cave in to the conventional wisdom, or are we going to push the envelope?
We saw Democrats cave in on the missile defense legislation in an overwhelming 95-3 vote for something that does not work and only lines the pockets of defense contractors. Tonight, they caved again on FISA legislation because Lil' Georgie threatened their vacations. Every time Bush says 'terror' the democrats soil themselves and vote with Bush. Mr 25%. The American public is sick and tired of this clown but Democrats continue to yield every time he says 'boo'.
Are we so enamored of celebrity that we lose our tongues when in their presence?
It is time to ask our democratic leaders where they stand. If they don't support impeachment, we need to ask why not. And if the answer is that it is too time consuming, we need to ask why they are able to pass Bush sponsored FISA legislation in a matter of hours when vacations are at stake.
Let's hold YearlyKos to the same standards that dailyKos has-ask the tough questions and debate the hard issues.
