Note, this may not be the most important nor political post you'll read today, but I think it may be illustrative of something.

O.K., so here's what happened...
Dad and I had gone to Monterey's Farmer's Market and were getting into the car to go home. The parking lot was packed and many cars were circling the lot looking for an empty place.
I saw a woman about to drive into an open parking spot, when suddenly another car driving by a man frantically cut her off while almost running into her and with inches to spare, pulled into the spot she was clearly about to go into. The woman honked at him and shouted, "Hey, I was here first". The man shouted "no, I WAS HERE FIRST", and they engaged in some angry back-and-forth for a few moments and she shouted "JERK" and drove away.
I had witnessed the event clearly and it was quite obvious what had happened. He may have been IN the spot first, but he clearly had to do something rude and even dangerous to do so. I noticed that he had a child in the car with him, which made his actions both even more vile, endangering a child to get a parking place, and his very poor example of rude anger towards another person.
As he got out of his car, I saw he as was a youngish, late-20s-mid 30's well dressed young man. He was loudly and angrily grumbling to himself, "I WAS HERE FIRST". Very odd because he had to know that the reality was that he was not "here first", and because by this point, the other driver was out of earshot.
I called out to him, "actually, you were not there first". He looked over at me and shouted, "I WAS HERE FIRST". I replied, "you can say that, but reality says otherwise". He got a furious and crazy look and shouted in an echo off the buildings shout "WHO ASKED YOU!!!"
I found that funny, because I think the jerk knew I knew what had happened and had no way to refute the truth.
I had a hunch about him and as I left the parking lot, I looked at the back of his car. Sure enough, there it was, a "W04" bumper sticker.

P.S. OK, maybe this isn't the most important nor political post of the day, but I think it's illustrative of something...
