I know, I know, it's a work day, but isn't the survival of our country more important than that? Do you think Ben Franklin and Thomas Paine said, oh, I'd love to protest the British, but not until Saturday, because my boss might get angry if I take a day off?
Being a patriot is a full-time, 24/7/365 job, and when the time is right, you can't wait for the weekend or for convenience.

This is really a message to World Can't Wait, Code Pink, Veterans for Peace, Gold Star Mothers and Cindy Sheehan, and any other organization planning the Sept. 15th march on Washington: Please, move the date up to Tuesday, September 11, 2007, since it's the perfect day to protest.
1. It's a Tuesday. Protesting on Saturday never made sense to me, because the people you're trying to influence aren't there on the weekend. Start at 7:30 AM, by riding the Metro in from outlying areas. Jam the subways and busses with hordes of people, all descending on the Mall in front of the Capitol building. Don't worry about arrests -- if our numbers are great enough, they can't arrest us. There's no place to detain a crowd that large. And if they block the streets surrounding the Capitol, then so be it. It still results in impeding our lawmakers regular progress and disrupting their normal schedules, and we can still protest outside of the barricades.
2. It's a slam-dunk psychologically. Bush and his cronies have profited on the memories of those who fell on 9/11. Is there no more perfect day than 9/11 to rise up and loudly and stridently protest their profiteering? Take back the solemnity and the memories of those who have tragically fallen, along with the nearly 4,000 of our brave soldiers dying in Iraq for these corrupt Christofascists
3. It certainly would be noticed. Not just by the MSM, but, more importantly by lawmakers, whose regular movements would be severely hampered by throngs of people in the streets blocking traffic.
4. It's a great reminder that the real criminal of 9/11 is "still alive and kicking somewhere in NW Pakistan or SE Afghanistan" (Hattip to TaylorS)
Just think of the attention we would get if 100,000 people protested on 9/11 outside the Capitol. Try to wrap your mind around it, and picture that many people, wearing either orange, for protest, or black, for mourning.
Please... reconsider the date. Let's turn 9/11 into the day we restored our democracy and saved our country from the terrorists who have stolen power from the people.
