What you don't know could fill a mass grave

Wow. Even I have to admit, that does not make me look good. It seems like I had a lot of good reasons to not invade Iraq back then. But there’s a reasonable explanation I said those things in 1994. It’s because ... because we were tricking Saddam! Yes, that’s right. Even in 1994, we had him in our sights. That video was supposed to lull Saddam into a false sense of security (like the ones many Americans feel right now, even though terror is ready to strike at any moment). "Oh yeah, sure, we would neeever invade Iraq, wink, wink." Classic disinformation campaign.
But we left subtle hints of our true intentions in the video. The ticking clock mounted on the wall over my right shoulder? Ticking away the seconds left in Saddam’s oppressive regime. That weird urn thing over my left shoulder? The very same urn now holds the ashes of Saddam’s body. Yeah, we burned him.
For people who think we didn’t have a plan going into Iraq, this should put those criticisms to rest. As this video proves, we were planning this invasion since 1994, at least. I know I had personally been thinking about it since the age of four — playing in the sandbox, pretending it was the sparsely populated Anbar province, squishing the ants which refused to join our coalition of the willing, then tasting the blood of their ant corpses and laughing maniacally as my mother stared in horror from the kitchen window.
