I have often said that Al Gore is a "Modern Progressive Populist," if one must put a label on his governing philosophy.
Here is a sampling:
He (Gore) essentially pursued politics and policies of a modern progressive populist. Gore is a modern progressive populist he already has a solid platform from 2000, that I'd call Modern Progressive Populist Gore's economic viewpoints are modern progressive populist. (Jan 1, 2007) Gore has always been a populist (I call him a modern progressive populist), in the sense of putting people's interests first.
And now we have Hillary running around calling herself a "Modern Progressive" and we're told Edwards is a "Progressive Populist" :)
As the Church Lady would say:
Well..., isn't it special?
