First I want to apologize if this is a bit of a hit-and-run diary. I have 20 min. before I have to leave for work.
Anyway, I saw a news article this morning that will probably be typical of embattled Republicans this election cycle concerning their appearances with President Bush.
According to KARE 11 news news the press had an interesting restriction:
Senator Norm Coleman's campaign no doubt received a financial boost from a Presidential fundraiser Tuesday. And yet the media wasn't allowed to photograph Sen. Coleman with President Bush in Eden Prairie.
Hmmm. Don't want to give the Democrats any fuel, do ya Normie.
And the Star Tribune reports that Bush is up to his usual tricks to ensure that the taxpayer has to fund his appearances at fundraisers.
President Bush used a three-hour stop Tuesday in Minnesota to squeeze in a briefing about Minnesota's back-to-back bridge and flooding disasters before heading off to a big-dollar fundraiser in Eden Prairie for U.S. Sen. Norm Coleman.
How long was this briefing you ask? 15 minutes. Barely enough time for him to draw a picture of a cat, but apparently enough time to show his compassion by promising "a flood of help" to the flood victims in the south-east corner of the state.
