This shameful tale of genocide , hypocrisy, injustice , and betrayal is the perfect example of what typically occurs when the United States tries to Police the World by sticking our nose where it doesn't belong usually in the form of an unjust war such as todays Fools Crusade otherwise known as the War in Iraq. Our reckless actions only serve to destroy the minority ethnic and religious groups in these countries we invade. Just look at the plight of the Iraqi Christians who were free to practice their religion under Saddam but today because of our foolish endeavor half of Iraq's Christian has fled.
WARNING ONE PICTURE OF HMONG TORTURE VICTIM
Sadly the Vietnam War is still being fought even to this day in the isolated mountains of Laos. When we finally left Southeast Asia in 1975 the War ended for the USA however the nightmare has never stopped for the indigenous tribes who made the mistake of siding with the United States after we had promised them an independent state in the isolated Northern Mountains of Laos.
Of the many tragic episodes connected with the Vietnam War perhaps the saddest of all was the fate of the Indigenous Hmong people who were our staunchest and most loyal ally during the entire conflict. In 1960 there were approximately 500,000 Hmong in Laos. 10 years later 50 percent of the men had been killed and 25 percent of the women and children had also died. Less than 200 years earlier the Hmong had fled Chinese persecution as China expanded it's authority to indigenous areas it claimed basically they were treated similar to what the USA did to the Native Americans during roughly the same time period.
In all my years as a journalist I had never seen anything like this: a ragtag army with wailing families in tow, beseeching me to take news of their plight to the outside world. I walked among starving children, their tiny frames scarred by mortar shrapnel. Young men, toting rifles and with dull-eyed infants strapped to their backs, ripped open their shirts to show me their wounds. An old man grabbed my hand and guided it over the contours of shrapnel buried in his gut. A teenage girl, no more than 15, whimpered at my feet, pawed at my legs and cried, "They've killed my husband. They've killed my mother, my father, my brother " But before she could finish, others were pushing her aside to sob out their own litanies of loss. In this heart of darkness, nobody has a monopoly on grief.
American citizens (although they don’t know it) are funding a bank that is the driving force behind the Laotian genocide.
· The Genocide order (captured 1/4/07) states, LAO PDR Government orders "complete extermination" of Hmong.
· The stated ‘reason’ for genocide is to clear the way for Ethnic and Urban Projects that are funded by Asia Development Bank (ADB).
We were supposed to evacuate them all out of LAOS's but only a handful of planes were sent in sadly thousands of Hmong men , women , and children were slaughtered by the communist Pathet Lao on top of this mountain waiting for US planes that weren't coming back this is an actual photo of the evacuation.
Christians are now being murdered in Laos..
The Communists believe that Christianity is an "American" religion and believe that any Christian automatically supports America!
Numerous Vietnam War veterans ranging from the controversial leftist Professor Ward Churchill to the extreme right wing Green Beret Lt. Colonel Bo Gritz have spoken out over their agonizing dilemma. While I applaud both of these men for their valiant efforts to aid the Hmong people no one on earth has worked as tirelessly to bring International attention to their agonizing plight than former Vietnam War correspondent Dr. Jane Hamilton-Merritt, two time Nobel Peace Prize Nominee and Author of Tragic Mountains: The Hmong, The Americans, and the Secret Wars for Laos 1942 – 1992.
The tiny landlocked nation of LAOS is an isolated Communist-run regime that brutally persecutes political dissent and denies every kind of human right to its citizens. When the Clinton administration attempted to establish full normal trade relations with LAOS in the late 1990's the GOP went ballistic and marched in General Vang Pao with his veterans to prevent this from occurring which was the right thing to do. Human Rights groups also produced indisputable evidence of ethnic cleansing by the Laotian regime. Although the Laotian Government has continued to violate human rights on a massive scale up until today yet when Republican President George W. Bush took the exact same action in December 2004 by signing into law a bill extending normal trade relations to Laos not a single word came from the GOP with the lone exception of California Republican Congressman Dana Rohrabacher.
This neo-con administration plays the Christian card well but doesn't practice what it preaches as it prefers to do business with a brutal Communist regime that sends Christians to prison for 3 years just for possessing Bibles.
The Bush Administration is in bed with a vicious Communist dictatorship that ruthlessly persecutes Christians ,murdered Howard Deans brother , intentionally starved the Laotian Royal family to death, even today they still use starvation as means to kill, commits massive genocide against it's own people , is heavily involved in International Child Abduction rings, it forcibly converts it's inhabitants to a nationalistic Buddhist cult, only returned 9 of the 311 P.O.W.-M.I.A.s it held, Laos traffics in Human Beings for purposes ranging from child prostitution to slavery , forcibly relocates minorities, arrests Foreign journalists, and has long been very best friends with North Korea of the Axis of Evil.
Every human rights organization on the face of the earth has strongly condemned the bloodthirsty Laotian dictatorship for engaging in routine ethnic cleansing including genocide on a scale that Dr. Jane Hamilton-Merritt has documented as being actually worse than the notorious Khmer Rouge led by the evil Pol Pot when they transformed Cambodia into a killing field.
Hmong Folk Dance
As late as 2003 this brutal Communist Government of Lao's was also on the United States list of terrorist sponsoring nations along with Libya, Cuba, North Korea, Iran, and Syria. However during his second term Bush has since removed both Libya and Laos from the list of terrorist sponsoring nations. He removed Libya from the list because it gave up it's nuclear program and Bush removed Laos from the list as a reward for it's self proclaimed total eradication of it's nations poppy fields which it achieved through a brutal campaign of terror against it's own indigenous mountain tribes. I guess Bush and the NEO-CON boys didn't want any competition in the Opium trade since they have Afghanistan producing over 90% of the drug worldwide talk about being greedy.
Hmong Boys
Since they are the grandchildren of people who allied themselves with US during the Vietnam War they are targeted for genocide. The Bush Administration blocks their entry into the US since they are now classified as Terrorists under the Patriot Act because they fought alongside the United States.
Bush currently supports forced evictions of Hmong from Refugee camps in Thaliland back to meet certain death in Laos.
October 11, 1972
Anyone having provided any form of "material support" including food, water or shelter to anyone aiding U.S. Soldiers during the war were considered material supporters of terrorism under the Patriot Act.
Republicans always claim to be pro-life and for Christianity yet where are they when it comes to the Hmong and other Laotian Christians to use the GOP favorite phrase I guess they just cut and run on these people. I believe that the U.S government as well every American owes a great deal to the Hmong people who still suffer greatly to this very day only because they chose to ally themselves with us in a war that should have never occurred in the first place. We need to evacute whats left of these people and resettle them in our country thats the right thing to do hell it's the only fucking thing to do.
