I just read Sidney Blumenthal's article on Salon.com, and I'm madder than a drugged duck with clipped wings at a Dick Cheney hunting party to see the way that liberals always assign the worst possible motivation to anything having to do with our President, Iraq and WMD's . . .
Everyone knows Sidney Blumenthal is a liberal, so how can you believe anything he writes?
And how can you believe a guy called "Tyler Drumheller"? -- after all, his name alone makes him very suspicious. Work it out . . .
And what's up with two "former CIA officials" validating Drumdevil, er, I mean, Drumheller's story? Surely those are two guys who hate America with an ax to grind cause they got the story so wrong -- after all, everybody knows that Saddam had WMD and planned to used 'em on the US.
And French intelligence is backing 'em up? First, that's an oxymoron, after all, they were the ones that invented that silly metric system, but worst of all, they choose to believe a high level Iraqi government official over a taxi driver/con man who had no earthly reason to distort the truth to please Saddam.
I sure know who I'd listen too . . .
And what about this?
"The real tragedy is that they had a good source that they misused," said one of the former CIA officers. "The fact is there was nothing there, no threat. But Bush wanted to hear what he wanted to hear."
There they go again. If I was as "right" on so many thing as Bush and Cheney have been I'd only want to hear what I wanted to hear, too. It's not like they've been wrong on anything, far from it. Hell, just look at the surge -- the president told us that we were going to do the surge so the Iraqi government could stand up and we could sit down and get some lemonade and get outta the hot sun, and so far they've met 3 of the 18 objectives the President set for them. That's pretty damn good, doncha think?
And did I mention 9/11?
Yeah, I hate it when good men who have done nothing wrong are disparaged so savagely -- it sort of reminds me of what happened to Alberto Gonzales. And while I'm on a rant how sad is it that good men and women like Don Rumsfeld, Paul McNulty, Harriet Miers, Karl Rove and all those cute young Conservative Christians at Justice have been hounded out of government since those do-nothing but hold hearings all day long Defeatocrats have taken control of Congress?
I don't know about y'all, but it sure sickens my America loving heart to see how far we've fallen . . .
