The wrong questions are continually being asked about the Iraq fiasco. Most of the time by the right wing media to obscure the facts, but often by the mainstream media out of slackness.
Its not about surge or no surge. Or, is the violence really diminishing.
The central question is and always has been: how do we hold accountable those leaders who by their actions and deeds initiated an illegal war and are responsible for the deaths of hundreds of thousands of Iraqis, thousands of Americans and grievous injuries to tens of thousands more.
The dialogue must always come back to this issue. Everything else is peripheral.
Everything else obscures the truth.
