There is a conspiracy, it seems, among the American optical industry to not sell me a good pair of glasses.
I am a high myopic who needs bifocals (trifocals actually), and have always spent good money to buy my strong pair of glasses from good optician (I do bring in my own Rx and just make him fulfill it). In the last five to seven years, however, the American optical industry, which could give me a good pair of glasses that I could do distance and reading vision through, has switched to cheap China imports that do not support heavy glasses any more.
Just go through the display room and see all those "Franz Schubert" style glasses, tiny ovals or squares unlike the big square glasses us myopics are used to.
I went through the local guy. Tiny-lensed glassess. I settled on Wal-Mart, but they sell China crap too.
My abiding sin is to fall asleep in my glasses. Good glasses can be retrieved from your bedding, but Wal-Mart's cannot.
God Damn It. There is no one I can buy a five-to-seven year pair of glasses from anymore.
I've worn glasses since I was 8, in 1957. Eff-you, American Optical Industry. Even tho' I'm prepared to pay, you refuse me good glasses. Eff-you.
I'm gonna spend cumulatively $1000 at Wal-Mart for inferior glasses.
