From AmericaBlog.com: Bush-Cheney invite far-right "hate" Freepers to White House
You'll recall that the Freepers are a far-right, and I mean VERY far right, Web organization that even FOX's Bill O'Reilly criticized as being too extreme. For Bush-Cheney to invite them to White House and then greet them personally... that's pretty sick. It's also likely a sign of the desperation that's sunk in at the White House. When you're at 28% in the polls and most of the sane elements of even your own party are starting to hate you, you have to turn to the insane for support.

D.C. Chapter Invited to Meet President Bush at White House Troop Support Event (Photos)
The entire wingnut festival was there to visit with Bush. From the Freeper's posting:
Members of the D.C. Chapter of FreeRepublic.com were invited to the White House today for an event for troop support organizations with President Bush. Other groups included Vets for Freedom (in the beige polo shirts), Families United for Our Troops and Their Mission (in the red polos shirts), Move America Forward, Gathering of Eagles, the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
It was a beautiful and moving day. The President spent what seemed like two hours meeting with everyone who wanted to speak with him. There were many Gold and Blue Star parents there who wanted to tell the President they still support the mission.
During the President's speech, the crowd erupted in to a loud, boisterous chant of "USA! USA! USA!" Yep, the Freeper table started it, LOL!
I'd say BushCo is definitely circling the wagons if this is who they have to surround themselves with these days. Do you think we can see a vote in the Senate showing their disapproval of Bush meeting with crazy people who spew off the hatred that these groups do? Somehow I doubt we'll see that happening any time soon.
